EANE is very excited to announce that we have been awarded a $200,000 Direct Access Program training grant from the MA Workforce Training Fund!
As most MA employers know, the Workforce Training fund aims to promote job growth, retention and increased opportunities for employees by increasing business productivity and competitiveness for MA businesses. The Direct Access Program was created for smaller-scale training needs and covers the entire cost of training for employees from Massachusetts businesses of all sizes. It complements the General Grant and Express Fund programs as vehicles for employers of all sizes, who pay into the MA unemployment fund, to finance training initiatives.
Cornerstone Programs on Leadership
EANE was selected in October based on our demonstrated expertise and capacity to provide training in the area of management/supervisory and leadership skills. This grant will allow us to provide our ”Principles of Leadership for Supervisors and Managers” and our “Lead Worker” series to employees of MA businesses at no cost to the business. These programs have been the center of EANE’s leadership training for many years. They are practice-intensive and focus on realistic application so that participants can apply learning directly back to the job.
How to Apply for Free Training
The details surrounding how EANE will qualify businesses to access these funds are still being finalized. At a minimum, an organization will need to provide proof that they pay into the Workforce Training Fund -- all MA for-profit organizations pay into the fund and many non-profit organizations do as well -- and provide a Certificate of Good Standing from the MA Department of Revenue.
Timing and Resources
These funds will be used to support training beginning in January 2017 and running through June 2018. If you have any questions please contact us at 877-662-6444.
