The Employers Association of the NorthEast (EANE) announced today that its annual Management Conference will be held on Thursday, April 5th at the Sheraton Springfield Monarch Place in Springfield, MA. The full-day program – which draws 150+ attendees from MA, RI and CT -- will focus on the power of leaders harnessing the passion of talented employees.

“Great leaders encourage their people to come up with excellent ideas and don’t try to take the credit,” said Meredith Wise, President of EANE.  “Our conference is all about the skills that support a passionate, purposeful culture to attract and retain talented, productive people.”

The program will feature three keynotes:

Scott Deming’s “Powered by Purpose” is designed to equip participants with the tools to create a passionate and purposeful culture. He is a frequent motivational speaker on the inner workings of leadership and culture with experience in organizations across the globe—big and small, in just about every industry.

Kim Kenney-Rockwal’s “Hire Tough, Manage Easy: Attitude vs Skill,” will address the challenge of hiring for skills or cultural fit. Kenney-Rokwal is the director of the MBA program and Assistant Professor of Business Management at Elms College in Chicopee, MA. Prior to joining the college, she was the Director of Human Resources at Health New England, in Springfield, MA.

Rich Trombetta will present “Psychological Safety and Team Risk-Taking” designed to unleash the talents of team members by creating a culture where everyone feels accepted and respected and, ultimately, safe to participate.  He will provide specific tools and techniques to create a high-performing work culture that taps into the talents of everyone. Trombetta is president of The Innovation Company.

There will be 15 breakout sessions on topics including women in leadership; critical thinking for complex problem solving; fostering creativity for leadership; emotional intelligence; and more.

The cost for the program is $350 per person with discounts for three or more. Participants may register at www.eane.org/management-conference-3/ or via phone at 877-662-6444. The program will offer 5.75 credits by the HR Certification Institute and SHRM. Sponsors of the conference are the HR Certification Institute and Constellation Energy.
