There's no room for error when it comes to managing an employee with a medical condition. Your organization's policies and practices need to align with specific laws and regulations. This advanced program will provide a roadmap to guide employers through the intricate compliance issues involved in managing an employee with a medical condition.
Utilizing an actual situation, participants will test the effectiveness of their organization's policies, forms and procedures. Approximately one week before the workshop, EANE will distribute details of the specific situation to be discussed. Participants are expected to bring to the workshop the particular forms and policies they would use to manage the leave. In a non-threatening environment, you'll discuss and evaluate the effectiveness of your tools and revise them as needed. The program content is fluid and will reflect current legal and regulatory activity.
NOTE: This workshop requires a working knowledge of the three legal statutes.
Intermediate-level HR professionals and managers who possess a basic understanding of the Family and Medical Leave Act, ADA Amendments Act and Workers Compensation Laws, and are responsible for managing attendance and leave of absences within their organization.
