How do you evaluate the worth of jobs within your organization? Are some jobs more valuable than others? In this half-day program participants will learn how to conduct job evaluations using the National Position Evaluation Plan (NPEP) point factor system. NPEP, the 1st point factor system introduced in the United States, is a validated, easy to understand system for evaluating positions using a well-defined set of universally recognized compensable factors (education, experience, complexity of duties, etc.). This system provides a legally defensible approach for establishing a pay hierarchy that supports equitable pay decisions and internal consistency while maintaining external competitiveness.
